I’m so tired of hearing political parties claiming they’re doing ‘the Lord’s work’ when all they’re doing is rallying and spreading hate. Shame on you, all of you. God doesn’t care if you’re Republican, Democrat, Liberal, Conservative, gay, straight, fat, skinny, Muslim, Buddhist, Protestant, Catholic, or afraid of the dark. He loves YOU and wants YOU to stop preaching hatred and show OTHERS the love He has for YOU. All this mixing of politics and religion gets me so overwhelmed. THIS IS NOT A CHRISTIAN NATION. So stop acting as if America has some special place at the right hand of God. We are just another nation that will fall in the end times. How many kingdoms and nations have fallen before us? What makes us so different from the rest? Because we’re America and we’re “the best country in the world”? That’s asinine. We as a nation need to stop breeding and preaching hate and start loving as we’re instructed to. I’m not talking about ‘tolerance’ of other religions, people, or lifestyles. I’m talking about truly loving our brothers and sisters the way Christ loves them. Showing them compassion and mercy, washing the feet of our enemies. I didn’t intend to make this a long rant, but man, I am SO SICK of seeing God’s name dragged through the mud by American Christians and imbecilic politicians. I’m done.

Showbread has definitely changed my views on the nation and politics. I’ve found myself becoming much less political and I like it. Like he said, we are not God’s chosen nation. We use his name to justify killing, slandering, and other atrocities. This quote really puts the nail on the head. Members, past and present, of Showbread seem to have a firm grasp on this and I thank them for spreading God’s true message of love.
